Do the right thing for social care
The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) is a UK-based international accountancy membership and standard-setting body. We have a positive impact on changing lives for the better and supporting our members throughout their careers. As the only global body dedicated to public financial management, we ensure that public money is raised and spent with transparency. Joining as our policy advisor on social care, you’ll be at the heart of our purposeful work and have the chance to develop our policy.
In this exciting and impactful role, you’ll deliver evidence-based policy and research and provide technical advice to our networks. We’ll look to you to identify, prepare and/or commission a range of documents and research. This’ll all help to support our credibility and benefit public financial management across the world. You’ll also deliver products and services, develop training and monitor developments impacting social care. As part of this, you’ll work on media responses, presentation materials and written briefings.
We’re looking for a motivated individual with experience in social care. Your passion means you’ll have knowledge of accounting and budgeting and delivering integrated solutions to complex problems. Thanks to your background, you’ll also know how to communicate in a clear way, influence a range of people and maximise the impact of your message. And while you’ll be keen to hit the ground running, you’ll have lots of support from our team of finance and policy professionals. Keen to learn, we’ll give you plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
In return, you’ll enjoy a flexible 36-hour working week, 25 days’ annual leave and up to a 10% employer’s pension contribution. Plus, we offer season ticket loans, an employee assistance helpful and exclusive discounts and rewards.
If you’d like a confidential discussion about the opportunity, please call Kirsty Stanners, Head of Policy & Technical on 07866 484322.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter. (Please note that may close the vacancy once we receive a high number of applications.)
