The Company

Our client is a leading non-profit inward-investment organisation – they are responsible for promoting the West Midlands as a location in which organisations can invest, grow and thrive.

Following a number of recent high-profile successes, they are keen to capitalise on upcoming opportunities and recruit a high-potential and ambitious executive to lead on business development, relationship management, and account management.

The Role

Joining a high-performing team, you will be responsible for managing strategic relationships globally across one of the West Midlands’ key industrial sectors, i.e. Digital & Technology, Manufacturing & Engineering et cetera.

You will be tasked with establishing relationships with senior decision makers, promoting the West Midlands as an investment destination, and positioning our client as their prime partner in supporting investment and growth.

This will entail:

  • Fielding investment queries from companies considering investing in the region.
  • Developing relationships with local businesses to support their growth and expansion plans.
  • Working with our client’s in-house digital and marketing teams to promote the region internationally as a leading investment destination for key sectors.
  • Establishing your own profile through developing a network of partners and via traditional relationship management activities (e.g. thought leadership, networking, attending trade fairs, et cetera)

Candidates

This role is a real opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking for a sound platform on which to build their career in business development and relationship management – working with a supportive team in a progressive organisation, and with opportunities to establish your own profile and develop relationships with influential decision makers in high-growth companies.

Whilst this role calls for at least three years’ experience within sales, business development, or account management, it is personal credibility, energy, enthusiasm and a flair for communication that will result in success.

Location
Flexible but will require at least 2 days a week in the office (Birmingham).
