Senior HR/OD Advisor
£33,782 - £37,890
In this Senior HR/OD Advisor role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior managers in Children’s Services; helping them to improve staff performance and to embed our values and behaviours. You’ll play a key role in supporting delivery of the Children’s Services improvement plan. On a day-to-day basis, this will see you offering expert guidance on matters related to workforce development, recruitment and retention, employee engagement and wellbeing. You’ll also advise on a full range of employee relations issues. You’ll deliver OD interventions too - providing training, facilitating focus groups, running 1:1 coaching and driving people related change and transformation.
From collaborating with trade union representatives to supporting managers and staff internally, your persuasion and influencing skills are going to be put to excellent use. You will have experience of and understand children’s social work, ideally within local government but other experience in this field will certainly be considered. We’re looking for someone with significant experience advising managers on complex employee relations matters, and a sound understanding of employment law and the statutory local government service environment. You should also be familiar with delivering OD initiatives, assisting services to transform and drive performance through people and improve services following external inspections.
