At Hertfordshire Constabulary, we have more than 2,200 police officers, 200 special constables and over 500 volunteers, all protecting the public on the frontline. However, their vital, challenging work wouldn’t be possible without our 1,600 police staff. Join us as a Management Accountant, and you’ll support our team so it can perform at its best. As a qualified accountant, you’ll be integral to our service. You’ll provide strategic financial direction, supporting our leaders, helping them manage substantial budgets. Much of your work will involve providing accurate management information and high-level reports, with the help of a small management accounting team. It’s varied work: costing business cases, preparing budgets and even managing the financial implications of the Police work force plan.

Where you’ll really make a critical difference is by driving best practice. If you have good knowledge of management accounting techniques and the Codes of Practice, we’d like to hear from you. Together, we’ll achieve the vision, purpose and values of Hertfordshire Constabulary. 

Please note this role involves security vetting.
