Join our Property and Asset Management team and be part of an innovative and exciting service focusing on targeting, designing and delivering important commercial developments and ventures; driving revenue income growth for Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough Councils and make lasting improvements to our towns.

In your role as the Property and Assets Manager within the Property team, you will play a key part in the service, ensuring the Councils’ property portfolios are future-proofed, opportunities are achieved to increase income and the estates are effectively managed to deliver the Councils’ ambitions.

You will lead and manage the Property team ensuring estate matters are dealt with on time, leading the submission of evidence-based business cases to support retention, investment, transfer and disposal decisions. You will support strategic estate matters on new developments, enabling them to be delivered effectively and reducing risk for the Councils.

You will be a pro-active, high performing leader, who is self-motivated and can motivate others. You will need to be able work under pressure and manage the work of the Property team, as well as your own cases. You will be able to negotiate in the Councils’ best interests and provide sound valuation advice.
