About the role

Reporting into the Assistant Director for Inward Investment and Local Economy, this externally-focused role will lead on promoting and delivering inclusive local enterprise and growth, targeting the borough’s key sectors including the creative economy and logistics. You will lead a team dedicated to fostering local business growth and economic development and be skilled at stakeholder management. A chance to innovate, you will implement a renewed sector-based approach to local enterprise, providing tangible benefits to businesses including a package of business support. You will collaborate with partners across key growth areas such as the Great West Corridor and strengthen ties with public sector bodies and private sector partners to drive growth in key areas and sectors.

About you

You will bring considerable, demonstrable experience and success of working within the arena of enterprise, growth and business support. You will bring expertise supported by strong analytical, project and programme management skills, as well as a track record of financial competency in managing budgets.  With sound commercial acumen, you will demonstrate a good understanding of the business support and external funding landscape and securing external funding.  You will have proven experience of developing networks and building relationships with key sector groups, local businesses, developers, relevant stakeholders and highly developed marketing and business support skills.
