Building Safety Project Manager

Salary: £38,385 - £41,586 + Market Supplement of £6000

Drive improvement that protects lives

As part of our new team you will have a key role, you’ll soon discover that your ability to empathise with residents and to really listen to their needs, is as important as your technical knowledge and housing experience. Working across the team you will have a varied and interesting range of duties. You’ll oversee the collation, distribution and control of data across the team and our supply chain. From cladding inspections to EWS1 and remediation instructions, you’ll drive continual improvement in resident safety. Working on the development of building Safety Cases and managing specialist consultants to help review our buildings.

Provide insight that supports the right decisions

The work we need to do is far-reaching and varied. We have more than 80 high-rise blocks and a large number of low-rise buildings in the Borough. So the portfolio offers unique challenges and opportunities – informed by the results of our building surveys. Within this setting, you’ll manage Building Safety cases, and advise on assessment, review and approval of prospective construction methods, building materials and installation - acting as a technical safety expert and providing insight on defect identification and remedies. In short, you’ll deliver the information we need to ensure that our buildings and residents are safe.

Use your skills to drive change across the industry

We’re looking for someone with considerable experience of managing complex projects – ideally gained in a large organisation. You’ll be an expert when it comes to project management - and you’ll be confident working on occupied buildings and communicating with a wide range of different stakeholders. You’ll also be familiar with construction methods and materials – as well as the relevant building safety regulations.

Closing Date: Sunday 26th June 2022
