Providing Expert Fire Safety management

As fire safety project coordinator, you’ll soon discover that your ability to empathise with residents and to really listen to their needs, is as important as your technical H&S knowledge and fire safety experience. Working as part of the Building Safety Team you will ensure that where works are undertaken to our buildings our suppliers meet all of the necessary legislative and regulatory standards and that our residents are safe in their homes. You will be lead officer in the building safety team for on a number of corporate projects, including the introduction of broadband fibre in our blocks. you’ll implement quality assurance processes and use performance data to evaluate and monitor the performance of our suppliers.

Provide the expertise to manage complex projects

The work we need to do is far-reaching and varied. We have more than 80 high-rise blocks and a large number of low-rise buildings in the Borough. So, the portfolio offers unique challenges and opportunities. Within this setting, you’ll provide professional advice to contractors and ensure that they conduct their works safely in accordance with the Councils requirements. As an H&S expert you will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively and to the highest standards of safety.

Use your skills to develop a great service

It’s a challenging role and one that will call on your expert project management and technical expertise and experience, fire safety and risk assessment knowledge. You will need to be able to build excellent relationships with a range of stakeholders. A good understanding the regulations relating to the telecommunications sector and experience of inspecting buildings to ensure that the works have been completed correctly. You’ll be a team player working collaboratively to achieve our objectives. You’ll also have appropriate H&S and technical qualifications and experience to support this position.
