The Role:

We are moving into an exciting phase of change at the Council and as we expand the team, we are looking for a colleague who to round us out, and bring with them key skills and experience to enable us to add greater value to both HR and The Council.

You’ll be joining a small specialist team with responsibility for both HR Systems Management, and Data Insights.  You’ll be working closely with key stakeholders within HR, across the wider business functions, and with external technology partners, taking responsibility for the configuration, maintenance, operation, and ongoing administration of existing software (SAP, Talent Link, iCasework, Org publisher, and other smaller HR technology solutions), using various change methodologies to ensure appropriate controls and governance is in place.

Your expertise will also contribute to shaping significant change in the HR Systems landscape.

About You:

You’ll bring with you:

Expertise in systemic change management

A demonstrable track record of proactively identifying and delivering system enhancements that create organisational value, and expertise defining and analysing business processes and dataflows

Significant experience delivering end to end technology related upgrades

An analytical and solutions-oriented mind-set that focuses on continuous improvement

Beyond the technical skills you’ll bring, you’ll have:

The ability to build rapport, persuade and influence others

Demonstrable experience in questioning, problem solving and taking initiative

Outstanding communication skills and ability to translate technical requirements into clear business language to senior stakeholders, and a willingness and ability to flex communication style to your audience

Excellent organising/planning skills, great attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate and manage multi-task changes and organise workloads in a structured and logical way, working to deadlines

Demonstrates informal leadership behaviours and practices - Comfortable with ambiguity, with a growth mind-set,

Additional Information:

Expertise across MS Office suite, particularly Excel & Visio, and preferably with MS Projects expertise

Change execution/Delivery and/or project experience (agile or waterfall)

A good understanding of HR processes and procedures

Annual leave: 29 days + Bank Hoildays
