The New Forest has long been recognised as a beautiful place, rich in history and wildlife habitats, and an oasis of calm in a busy world. The towns in our area are centres of dynamic growth, and with the opportunity of the Solent Freeport we’re looking for a Regeneration & Growth Service Manager to drive and deliver positive outcomes for the economy and communities of the New Forest.
Your main responsibility will be to lead and manage the regeneration, economic development and skills agenda including the Freeport, which is one of the Government’s flagship accelerator projects. Another key responsibility will be oversight of the Council’s town centre regeneration programme. Providing strong professional leadership, credible delivery with partners and encouraging an innovative, outcome focused approach to our work, you’ll be committed to promoting our core values at all times.
This is a new and exciting role within the Council, you will shape the role and the regeneration agenda for the Council and contribute to the objectives of the Council’s Corporate Plan. You’ll also provide professional advice and guidance of the highest standard to our staff and represent the council to a wide range of external stakeholders.
Your other responsibilities will be many and varied to achieve the effective delivery of our service by contributing to multi-agency and partnership initiatives, acting as a training and development champion, and helping to build strong relationships with businesses, educational institutions, skills providers, investors and developers.
