The New Forest has long been recognised as a beautiful place, rich in history and wildlife habitats, and an oasis of calm in a busy world. The towns in our area are centres of dynamic growth, and we’re looking for a Town Centre Regeneration Manager to lead and support the development and delivery of ambitious, high profile regeneration projects.
Join us in this role, and you’ll begin by supporting the creation of Vision and Regeneration Plans for Totton and then developing bespoke approaches to support our towns across the Forest thrive into the future.
Your focus will be on making our town centres attractive and accessible places where people want to live, work, shop, learn and spend their leisure time. With this in mind, you’ll engage with a range of stakeholders.
You will help to commission work that supports the development and implementation of the projects, and drawing on specialist expertise when required, you’ll lead briefings on projects to governance boards, cabinet and council meetings, and prepare relevant reports. You will work closely with teams across the Exec Head area and the rest of the Council to build effective relationships, we’ll also expect you to work collaboratively with your colleagues and our external partners.
To be a success in this role you should possess the following:
You’ll be required to travel to sites and undertake physical surveys at locations across the New Forest, so you must be able to travel using public or other forms of transport where they are viable, or by holding a valid UK driving licence with access to your own or a pool car.
