About you:
The purpose of this role is to lead on reducing employee absenteeism and to develop a positive culture around attendance management. There will be a big focus on wellbeing and supporting employees in the workplace.
You will need to have proven HR experience in casework, ideally Absence Management, and have exposure working with Trade Unions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with ability to challenge and uphold policies whilst building strong relationships with colleagues.

The role:
Your key responsibilities as a People Adviser will include:
• Managing the absence management process for all informal cases, escalating formal cases to the People Manager
• Process and progress Occupational health cases
• Engage and promote Wellbeing initiatives as well as conducting Welfare meetings.
• Track the use and spend of Agency staff, supporting Service Heads with Agency communications.
• Provide consistent, accurate and timely advice to employees and managers in line with internal policies and employment legislation.

This is a hybrid role, offering 3 days on site and 2 home working days.
