 Infrastructure Planning Manager

This role will help to shape the Borough’s Future Plans for Infrastructure. Working across the council and with external partners to ensure we understand the infrastructure needed to ensure we are Creating a Borough of Opportunity and Innovation, in line with our Corporate Plan. The key elements of the role will include ensuring our infrastructure delivery plan is up to date and supported by robust evidence as well as working closely with colleagues in our planning service to manage S106 and CIL processes, identifying and negotiating developer contributions. You will also have a key role in ensuring the local implementation of the Berkshire Digital Strategy.

In this role you will have the opportunity to deliver one of the council’s priorities ensuring quality infrastructure that connects neighbourhoods and businesses and allows them to prosper. Working closely with a range of internal and external partners to ensure future plans for infrastructure and growth meet the needs of communities and businesses. 

We are looking for someone who understands the planning system, good at building relationships and is able think strategically. A background in infrastructure would be helpful and the ability to co-ordinate a range of partners to bring together a coherent programme of activity.
