We are seeking a suitably qualified senior lawyer to lead our regeneration team. Thurrock is an ambitious Council and is at the forefront of major schemes including the Thames Freeport, Towns Fund Schemes in Grays and Tilbury, significant regeneration and major projects as well as being a key part of the growth of South Essex through ASELA. These significant projects will shape the Borough and deliver benefits for all residents for decades – we need your input to ensure they are a success.
We are looking for an enthusiastic senior lawyer who can provide strategic leadership of the Councils internal legal teams of planning, contract and property lawyers. You will be responsible for having oversight of major schemes ensuring effective and timely legal support and engagement. The post holder will also act as Deputy Monitoring Officer.
The right candidate will build positive working relationships with colleagues and clients and senior managers, be motivated and able to hit the ground running. This is an opportunity to develop as a senior legal leader within our Lexcel accredited team whilst making a significant difference for residents across the Borough.
